Just bought my first 4x4 Maverick 2.4 petrol/LPG and im loving it. is there anywhere local i can use it and get some practice..... any info would be grateful. im in the process of buying maps etc.. but i wanna drive now.:thumb2
 
Hello I am just across the boarder from u and generally go out around the peak district with a couple if others off different sites
Have a look around a seen what u think lots of different clubs about some good for technical/mechanical info and some better for days green laning
 
Hi welcome to the club, before you go off road, make sure your front Auto Hubs really work, and that you have the proper oil in the Limited Slip Diff.

There are plenty of downloads available to members on this site, that will save you the £10 joining fee probably on the first repair.

I have fixed problems I never knew I had....:lol:lol
Had mine 16 1/2 years so far.
Engine is just about run in now, still sounds like a sowing machine..:thumb2

Welcome mate. This is a great site for help and info even for the lesser spotted Patrol. Ive just renewed my membership and can honestly say u wont regret spending a tenner.
 
Thanks people. im gonna make a start on servicing the truck this weekend. any tips on how to check the hubs would be welcomed.:nenau
 
pay your tenner , join the club , and a whole new world will open up for you , downloads on how to fix things and loads of advice from people who actually own the vehicles :thumb2

get under car go to the front and turn the front prop shaft if it turns abit then stops both front hubs r working if the prop turns and only 1 drive shaft turns that auto hub not working and needs sorting pay ur £10 and get loads more info on fixing most or how to service the car u do need special rear diff oil but once u pay ur £10 worth u will find out everything:thumbs

cool good one, now get all the oils changed even if the last owner says he/she did it the rear diff wants ls90 front diff wants normal oil do gearbox and transfer box oils aswell and dont for get the engine oil:thumbs
