well its been a while since i posted anything so thought i would share that i finally got round to buying some new tyres for the terrano after much thinking, looking on here and the main factor that camskills didnt have any cooper st tyres or delivery date and the hankook mt only having a Q speed rating and low load rating i orderd these today

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m26b0s95p...napro_Atm_Hankook_RF_10_-_235_75_R15_109T_TL_

will let you know what i think once there on, all i have to do now is find out whats causing the uneven wear on the inside of the fronts so the new ones dont go the same way as the ones on there at the mo.

Camber angle too -ve. How's your bearings, top ball joints, torsion bar ht, etc
Check em now cause the new tyres will continue to wear even after you sort it:augie

looked at these before ordering st's only to find out of stock longer than could wait
so opted for cooper atr.

good load and speed rating and tbh from seeing them on a 4runner locally look more aggressive than the image gives them.

will do

tracking was checked, iv checked the bearings there all good im planning on replacing the upper and lower ball joints just to be sure there cheap enuff and much cheaper than new tyres again, now the torsion bars are a differnt matter how do i check them ?

im getting wear on the inside of both front tyres

Ball joints can cause this. Had this myself recentley with mot. David.

What size tyres are you running? Is the ride ht correct at the front? Don't get cheap ball joints by the way, or you'll be doing the same job again next year :doh

I would be double checking the tracking, try another garage, Rick

I've found trouble getting garages to do more than just tracking ie they just track it and dont look at camber or ball joints etc
In theory the tracking could be fine on a truck with 5 degrees camber

Agreed, Rick

my new tyres

well the new tyres arrived monday night bit unexpected to be honest i placed the order thursday in plenty of time for next day delivery, they didnt arrive friday but got an email late friday afternoon 5ish telling me they had been sent for labeling for dispatch and i would receive an email by 6 pm with the tracking number on it.

never got the email with the tracking number new they didnt deliver week ends so as mentioned bit surprised they turned up when they did still not had the email with the tracking /dispatch number on it.

now the fun bit gonna get them fitted hopefully tomorrow i did have some one sorted to do them saturday gone but that wont happen now then i can report back about the tyres.

first impression with them sitting here on the garage floor and im more use to tyre reviews on bikes, there soft compound very sticky and yes i know there made of rubber it will be interesting to see what the grip and road noise is like.

i will take afew pictures and post them up the side wall tread is clearly more for look than any pratical use and if any one needs a spare tyre i will have 4 nocking around that will need a new home
