I have the led light bar which is awesome up to about 100ft but not much length to the light and had these little ring spots in shed gathering dust and had them on previous vehicles and are deep little suckers that throw a good beam. And living in deep country side is good for wildlife and narrow lanes. So these hopefully will give a bit more length to the light. Will need to brace under bumper or they will wobble (which I hate). Thought about bonnet pod but cant justify the £100 for the pod. Any way here's the pic

Looking good. Been thinking about some extra lighting for the front of mine but not sure which way to go. I kind of like the chrome lights but I'm also warming to LED light bars too.

I thought they would be too vulnerable upfront, and since I don't have aircon, they sit nicely on a very thin angle that goes left to right, with a home made dropper bar that drops down, from the slam plate.:thumb2
They've been on nearly ohh.... 20 years lol

Looking good:thumbs I was thinking of a light bar on my front bumper but it would really stick out far so went for another set of 7.5" Ring Sportsline spots which I had on my old T2 as they did put out good light but going to upgrade the bulbs this time to either nightbreaker or poss Cree or SMD LED's

Ironic you should post this, I will be putting the 4 from the front of Suz's car up on Ebay in a couple of weeks. We have just picked up a 30" LED bar to go on her new car, and I don't imagine I will use them on anything else now.

There were 2 sets of Cibies on my tarted up Escort, those little spot you've got look great. What are they?

After talking to a few people on the net it seems to be LED's give out a lot of light short range but it's the good old spotlights that give the range so I think you will now have the best of both words:thumbs

Carello Pajod Parabolic Headlamp units.

Maybe the grill folds down automatically when the lights are on to reveal the front machine guns !!

In the 60's & 70's Cibie Oscars & Super Oscars were the driving lights to strive for as seen on all Rally cars of that era.

On my Mk 1 Cooper S I went for a pair of decent headlamps instead and spent a fortune on a pair of Carello Pajods with the Parabolic Reflectors they cost me about £25 in 1968. I put a thin film of Waxoyl on the rear of the reflectors and each time I changed my car the headlights moved with me as a lot of the older cars all had a standard size headlamp units in those days.

The lamps lasted well over 20 years with no degredation of the reflectors. Only visible clue of the upgrade was that the units were slightly bug eyed due to the depth of the parabolic shape to ensure the light cleared the back of the headlamp bowl.
