Fan / air con belt how to change

Proabaly going to look sound a complete fool here but never mind,

How do you change all the fan belts on a T2 2.7tdi engine ?
I can see where slaken off the tension, but how do get the old belt off and the new one over the shaft driven fan ?

Is there a special technique or something

Abit at a time!

Turn the fan as you thread the belt off afew blades at a time. The widest part of the cowl is at the bottom from memory...

Ah unfortunely thought that might be the only way !
Did kind of assume that the fan at the fron could be removed from the shaft though so could just slide over the fan.
