Link works fine, I wonder if the tennis balls in the coil springs is a possible Terrano mod lol...
One bump, pop, and it would be game set and match lol.

Rick, I can't sleep, what's your excuse for early morning posting, or is yours still a case of late night posting lol?
:lol:lol

New meaning to DIY !

I particularly like the door mirror with the taped on hand mirror wonder if the adjuster still works!

Quality:lol
I'm guilty of one of them though :D
The brake light on off switch.
Was at a job at Chicksands and was told i had no brake lights. Checked the bulbs and both were good so pulled the wires off the brake pedal switch, extended them and manually operated them back to the yard. :lol
The car was a fiat something..... it'll come to me later.

When I used to car share, a friend had a Talbot Horizon, the indicator switch broke while we were at work, so I sat in the passenger seat, with 3 wires, and when my friend said turning left, I used to short out the wires for left lol...
Worked ok, till he dropped me off lol... Well when he got to our house, I actually wired up a switch and marked it up left and right, I didn't want to wind him up and swap the wires over, but if it had been another guy I know, I probably would have done lol...:augie

A friend said, I didn't know they did the Horizon with a diesel engine...:nenau
Well it was of course petrol, but with tappet rattle you could hear a mile away. Those who remember those Chrysler cars, will remember the noise lol.

The old Mini batteries were in the boot and if they were getting on, they had a long cable, and the earth was a bit rusty, so I had a spare battery behind the driver's seat with jump leads under the rear seat and into the boot.

The fuel gauge for the 5 gallon fuel tank didn't work, so I carried a spare gallon in the boot, next to the battery in a metal fuel can...

Starter motor failed so before I could park up, I had to find a car park with a slope on it, and bump start it, in either reverse or forward, luckily my girlfriend's house was on a slope. Despite my meanness to buy a replacement starter... she still married me lol

In winter, the windscreen washers used to freeze, so I filled up an empty washing up liquid bottle and reached out at traffic lights, still a good tip to use today lol.

My next door neighbour used to have a Talbot sunbeam.
Always knew when they where going out or coming back with that rattle :thumbs:lol

Oh man. My first car was a Chrysler Alpine 1.3 LS. :lol
ECL409T... how the hell can I remember that:D

my first proper car was austin 1100 dmd789a.

My mum's first car was a Morris 1100 (if it's the same). I can still recall my brother tuning the radio which was located on the parcel shelf. Yes children some cars in those days didn't have radios :lol

Bloody dangerous when you think about it having a solid projectile on the parcel shelf

Even worse was when we later progressed to an estate car, I would sit in the very back behind the rear seats & wave to motorists behind us :lol

I used to run a Talbot Solara some years back. ALL the doors had major rot at the bottom, but the rest of the car was fine :lol :nenau
Very comfortable.
It didn't take too kindly to puddles. Had a habit suddenly conking when the distributer got wet :doh :lol

Many years ago I had a Sunbeam Talbot, 2 Ltr long stroke (could reach 100 mph on the M4 when it was first opened) same engine as the Humber Hawk, converted it from columb change to floor change, added an overdrive, and vac brakes including suzy outlets for towing a caravan also with vac brakes, went over the top of the grand St bernard pass with that lot, memories, Rick
