Anyone got a spare? My T2 came without one. :(

May 1996 2.7td with square lights, is that a late Mk1?

Cheers.

I left mine off by accident last week and lost it :doh

£9.33 from Nissan

It's probably worth about 25p!!!

Good luck.

wouldn't worry about it, they never get hot enough to boil over.

I did wonder about a thick piece of plastic bag and a tie wrap! £9.33 is extreme, seen complete expansion tanks online for £10 from breakers.

Buy some orange juice with the right sized cap, or some other bottle lid might just fit.

I'll have a look to see if I can find one close enough later.
I do tend to keep odd things like that, like pringles lids, fit tightly over wine glasses :doh. Why??

Tie wrap !
You can't go spending money like that, use ones of the free elastic bands that the postman leaves on your drive..

lol Rustic, are you Scottish? :lol

I'd 'borrow' a tie wrap from work just because elastic bands don't like switching from hot to cold very often. I did think, on the way to work this morning, that I need to take my vernier callipers to the expansion tank and then take them shopping to find a match!

No, but my origins are from Wales BoyO.... Don't tell Fez :lol

A sink plug is a good fit, and you can put a nice little chain on it so you don't loose it....:thumb2

What I did find is a plastic end plug to a cardboard tube, which I think was a Cadbury chocs pack, as it is purple in colour.

You are looking for a tube 1+1/2" diameter.

Is there a slight chance it may still be on your under tray under the engine, 7 M6 bolts then have a look.
I replaced by bolts with stainless steel, and greased them well too.
