Exhausted!! two peice exhaust, i mean in two peices!

Hi again,

I have just found out when fitting my tow bar that my 'new to me' patrol Y61 has a bust exhaust.
After the centre box is a flange (i loves that word!) to the rear box section. it is the rear box section of the flange that has corroded.

If i can successfully the offending busted side of the flange without causing undue damage to the centre box flange where a good (price wise) place to source a replacement?

If i bugger it up what then? £560++++ is it then worth going Stainless Steel?

Yes its worth paying for a stainless if you are going to hold on to the vehicle.

However at that price I wouldn't mess it up! :lol:

Garages arnt much help either

Well, i have the offending article off and it looks like I'l have to replace the centre box and the Back box (after the CAT thank god).

I have rang a few garages but they cannot find a y reg 2001 3.0D listing...? only 2.8D or 3.2D.

I thought the 2.8TD were the older models, the 3.0TD were the newer ones and the 4.2 Petrol etc were the OLDEST square petrol ones...

Where am i goign wrong and how do i get them to identify it?

try these people for your exhaust, got my centre and rear box from them
the number was given to be by shark1e cant call today as Saturday but try Monday CES 01244377118 (components) tell them where you got the number
My rear and centre box Genuine Nissan £153.40 total Feb 06
got the down pipe and flex part as well £88.61

mines a Terrano 3.0 same engine as yours

jadpanther or something simlair got a stainless zorst made by company close to him but he was in wales lol but theres always mail order!

found one at last

well in my search and many traders telling me that it is only original nissan suppliers....I was all set to go to longlife.com for a custom stainless steel... decat, small centre box and straight though pipe, no back box.. the start of a full beefing up.. lift, snorkel, winch, rock slider etc etc...

Milnersoffroad.com centre and rearbox with gaskets for £84!! might just get it done for now and go with the upgrades after the protective guards....

any opinions?
