The Td is different to the Tdi in quite a few areas.

Even the Maverick is different to the Terrano II, for example, In the Nissan parts manual, for the 95 Terrano II shows the front screen and the rear screen washer pumps as the same part number.

However on the rear pump on the maverick, the connections are parallel, but the front ones the connectors are at right angles, so when I replaced the rear pump yesterday I had to make a new connection.

I thought the drain for the Mav was on the side of the engine block on the near side near the oil pump, but I'm not sure.
When I decided to flush my water system I decided not to attempt to find and then remove this plug, as many members had sheared them off.

So I just filled the rad with fresh water, ran the engine, drained, did this about 5 or 6 times, this leaves about 5 litres of water in the engine, so if you top up with 5 litres of full strength Anti freeze, you will end up with 50% solution which is perfect for the UK.

When topping up, after removing any air locks, use 100% antifreeze.

To be honest there were no airlocks after I did this, as sometimes other members have airlocks in the heater in the car, and this causes a few head aches :doh.

Hi, thanks for getting back:clap,
I will follow your lead & leave the drain plug alone
