Hi

Just bought a 2000 Patrol 3.0, lovely car but seem to have a problem now and again.

Whilst driving the speedo stops working as does the milometer, rev counter, fuel and temperature gauge. After they have been off for whatever time, should it start working again without being turned off for some time, the ecu warning light comes on but everything works fine. If it happens and the engine is turned off for some time, then all works again and no light, well that is what has happened so far in a week?

Has anyone had this, possible loose connection or ecu faulty? Can it be fixed or is it a new ecu?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ron

Don't know that truck specifically but if you can, I'd try removing the dash completely first to eliminate loose connections....if its a digital speedo then they are prone to failure -my T2s been replaced (all carefully documented).

But from similar issues on other vehicles it smells ECU-related.....had the same thing on my B**mer....
