Since I got my Troll the nsf windows has never worked.
today I took the door panel off and "hey presto" the connector was not connected now the windows goes down every time. You press the switch. What a genius I am.

yes you guessed it down only flip.

With a bit of testing with the meter I get plus 12 and minus 12 at the feed to the motor when the switch is operated each way.
If I use two short lengths of cable to reverse the polarity at the connector the window will go up If the switch is operated in the down position only.
baffled

do not know if Patrols are the same as T2's but they have a relay in the door that suffers dry joints on the solder pins, worth a look, Rick

retrack on that, miss read, thought it was drivers door, passenger door does not have relay so sounds like the switch is bad it should swap + & - when pushed up, I have loads for T2 but do not know if they are the same, Rick

You may be onto something mate, we deduced that the connection was there but not with enough current to Do anything.
Do you have a spare relay unit?

the relay unit is only on the drivers door as it controls the one touch up/down function, you need a new switch, is it centre console mounted? if so they suffer dust ingress if you are patient you should be able to disassemble it and give it a clean, it is fiddly but doable, well it is on the T2, Rick

the relay on the drivers door only controls the drivers door window, Rick

Does anyone have a spare window relay I can try / buy. There is only one relay not one per window so I think I'll give it a try as everything else seems good.

Just emailed a chap on eBay,he said something about thin cable and if you use passenger and drivers side switches at the same time it may work.:nenau
So, Rick, you may be onto something with the poor contact thing:thumb2
I still think the OSF relay is something to do with the power to each window:nenau
I will report at the weekend as to the outcome:thumbs

Thought I'd put my bit in,had 2 mechanisms failed, seemed to "overdrive" and locked up,now 3rd one seems the gear mechanism just turns, motor turns so don't think anything electrical but interested in any ideas

Mmmm. Will bear that in mind with future investigations. It could be something to do with the limit switch thing that puts the window down when a child's head prevents the window closing:nenau
