Does anyone have an original Maverick or Terrano electric aerial they would like to sell? It's for my '94 T2, and must be in good working order. Ta very much.
I'll certainly consider that if a good s/h one doesn't come up, the attraction of an original is no faffing with different connectors, just unplug the faulty one and plug in the replacement, but thanks for that, I may well be paying Maplins a visit (hi de hi!)don't bother with a second hand one, try maplins £25 new, fitted one to mine works perfectly, :thumbs

I fitted one to my T2 a week ago (£2.95 from eBay), performance is worse than my broken electric aerial was, plus I can't tell if the electronic boost is working or not as the led built into it doesn't light up (for a power source I used the switched cable to the sunroof - checked that with a meter first, so I know it's live when the ignition is on). It's got a live feed and earth wire, and it says it's electronically boosted ?
Still looking for an oe Maverick/Terranao electric aerial if anyone has one or is breaking a car with a good aeria.
Hi Briggie, you're right, just a tad too far - like about 1000 miles too far!ive been quoted £60 for the supply and fit of a electric aerial , and they have a choice of masts too , trouble is the auto elec place is in huddersfield .... a bit far from you
I took mine out to replace the aerial section, but the bottom of the mast was corroded and broke up when I pulled it apart, now my original aerial is rammed into the old part and can't retract, so I may try Maplins as well.
So what I am saying is:-
Second hand will be a waste of money.:thumb2
