Hi all, as you can see I now have a another Terrano 11 LWB  this one is an SE Touring model  , now on the inside on the left of the steering whell there is a switch with what looks like a car with an alarm picture on it :!:  :| 8O can anyone tell me please how it should work as when I bought the car it did not have a Driver manual with it so I can't make out how to see if it works or not :|. If anyone has a spare manual that I can purchase please let me know. I have had the Truck a couple of weeks now and done a full service and lifted the nose, 29" centre of the wheel to bottom of the wheel arch  , and also fitted my bull bars off the old one :p.

THE DUCK PADDLES AGAIN !! long live The Duck

Could this be the switch that isolates the ultrasonics, allows you to leave a window open with the car locked & alarmed.

Press and hold it after turning off the engine, and keys out of ignition, and if the red LED on the dash flashes once after about 5 secs then it has isolated the ultrasonics. Lock car with the remote as usual. Once the car is unlocked & then locked again it all resets back to normal.

Reminds me that I need to try & find out why my alarm siren doesn't work, even though the ultrasonics & motion detector work, with flashing hazards etc if vehicle rocked etc while alarm set.

Hi Theduck if you want I can scan the pages about this for you & Email them to you if you like  The truck looks very nice but the steering wheel is on the wrong side

Hi Duck, As Jonathan said, ultra sonic isolator, as with you i had no manual with mine when i bought it. so would appriciate a copy. ta

Jonathan, i too have no siren with my alarm, to test it lift bonnet, hold down pressure switch,(mines on driver side beside fuses) set alarm giving time for it to ativate and then release switch. it should alarm and lights flash. my lights flash but no siren.

JonathanM & Wolf
Had same problem of alarm not making a noise, the horn is behind the plastic trim drivers side in the back, the connector on the horn had broke, new horn cost about a fiver, 5 min job. Works ok now.

Pete.
