Just heard on the news "Brittan has plans in place for the threat of Ebola!"
They don't even have plans in place for the threat of "Snow!"
what a bunch of numptys......:nenau

Glad someone has brought sunshine to the topic:D
Fed up of seeing political and government slagging related debates on face ache.

I actually heard some unconfirmed rumours on a science thread a while back that the vaccine made for Ebola only works on Caucasian people, this wouldn't be the first medicine either, for example there are some blood pressure medicines that work quite poorly on non Caucasian skin colour. Very strange indeed.

The other fear is that the vaccine is currently untested, in a years time the "cured" could drop down dead

At the end of the day like most bugs your best defense is good hygene, hand washing and even a bottle of the alcohol gel in the car.

yeah there has never been a cure, as such. Some people just get better, others do not. The people who get better are the ones subject to research, scientists assume something in the blood or immune system helps to fight the virus.

As Jim says, good hygiene is the key here, because like the flu its passed on through fluid, thankfully it isn't an air borne virus as such.

Anyone see that news article about the prick in the plane shouting he had Ebola and everyone was going to die?

idiot.

Pity they didn't make the prat pay for the delay to the plane and cover the cost of the full disinfection, now that would have been a laugh :lol
