I seen a 3ltr t2 the other day in a carpark. "yes I did put a poster on it advertising our club:rolleyes:" anyhoo, I heard it start up and drive off and it sounded like it had a dump valve on the turbo:eek: sounded really awesome tbh:D can I get one and fit it to my td27:nenau

mine does that, i thought it was the waste gate or something?hammer the accelerator, quick off to change gear and PFFT....

You can fit a dump valve to a diesel but no point. So as Kamsin said just cut your pipe or make a proper turbo down pipe with separate waste gate and exhaust pipes :sly That'll sound sweet :D

How do I do that then:augie I want my terrano to sound sweet:thumb2

Would that not fail a MOT?
Take it off AFTER the mot :D but yes it's a fail as the gases have to clear the car at the back or the side .
Have you got a spare turbo? If so have a look at the arse end of it. There's two holes on the turbime housing, one is the waste gate the other obviously the exhaust turbine. So you take one small pipe off the turbo waste gate out somewhere and the other as normal exhaust.
Look up nissan skyline etc turbo downpipes or get a flange like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Garrett-T...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item336ecb64f3

Cheers, aye, I've got a turbo that I'll look at:D I'm wanting to get as much POWER!!!!! out the engine as possible:sly

Well you want no resistance or back pressure on the back of the turbo. Go as big as poss to get the wind out :thumb2 2 1/2" should do it, 3" is a pain to get past the bulkhead :doh

fit a snorkel like mine, which is basically 3" open pipe from the turbo inlet, sounds sweet as fk tbh :D

Nearly but not quite  I wish I could find the right flange off the shelf . The turbo is a Garratt T25 but it seems a tad modified for Nissan I think.
I've ordered one and it doesn't quite fit :doh
So it's probably make one

Would ur welder surply just the flange and if so how much

He can get laser cut ones made no worries. The last time I asked him , he said the company that makes them have a minimum order value. He's got a few other jobs coming up soon, so we could be in the 25 pound mark.
