Only when its raining passenger side is bone dry. Any ideas?
I think it worse when it is pointing down hill

Could be the lower inner arch has rotten through, Common area for them to go there.

Isn't a fairly common issue with the panel for the windscreen wiper mechanism access. Under the black plastic trim that runs under the wipers across the front behind the bonnet.

I think Ryan posted up a picture fairly recently.

Hmm just had that welded/fibreglassed for the MOT. And also the footwell was rotten drivers side so perhaps before that got repaired it was finding its way out through the rot. Closer inspection shows the water ingress is coming in at the floor/bulkhead seam in the centre of the footwell, below the brake pedal.

Are there 2 wiper covers? I thought just one at the passenger side? If theirs 1 each side then that coild be it?

Not sure, I assumed that it would be symmetrical, as normally wipers are "sided" depending on which side of the road you drive on, so can be installed either way round... but that is an assumption.

How do I remove stubborn wipers? They are not coming off the splines.
Sack it. getting soaked

This is not the correct way... but... what I do is undo the nut till it is level, or just above the threaded shaft, giving about 1 to 2mm between the nut and wiper arm, then holding the wiper up at the bent position (You have to take the plastic cover off first) so it takes up the slack in the mechanism, give the nut a knock with a small hammer, and it usually pops loose. Also worth spraying a bit of freeing lubricant on it first.

Perfect tip :clap Got em off.

I removed the plastic scuttle to reveal the wiper mechanism plates and removed them. Passenger side was fine, the seal was intact. Drivers side had no seal at all

Put a thick bead of silicone around it and refitted. Its still raining though so it wont get chance to dry will it???

Put everything back together and still leaking in :doh:doh:doh

Peeled back the bulkhead soundproofing stuff to reveal this. if you look closely you can see the water running down:(The white stuff is fibreglass)

:headphones:Oh Lord wontcha buy me a grinder and a welder
My trucks rotten to F*** Everwhere I look:headphones:

Whats behind that plate if I prise it off?

Spanish workmanship on these trucks has much to be desired

Glad it worked. Being an optimist, is it not just the water now running out of the soaked sound proofing up behind the dash.

Sorry, got my bearings now, I thought that was the floor.

So does it only come in when you are driving, or when it is parked up?

Again, I have not done any work on that area, but is that not just that stick on tar style sound deadening. Looks like you will need to do a bit more fibre glassing.

When it rains or I when I get the Polish to give it a polish.
Dont thinks it that tar stuff like whats on the boot floor because I had to pull a load all out of the way and its thick stuff, whick makes me think that there is no tar in the front. Looks and feels like a metal plate.

Ive not done any fibre glassing yet. I just watched Jeff do it all :augie Think I watched him do enough of it to get a good idea of what to do.

What else could I use instead of a grinder in that small area? Dont have a grinder.

What about a dremil, or just a small grind stone in an electric drill.
