DRINKING AND DRIVING!!!!!
I would like to share a personal experience with you lot about drinking and driving.
This might save you your license, job and embarrassment of being arrested.
As you may have guessed, I have been known to have unexpected brushes with the law from time to time, but luckily not on the way home after a session with friends. Well anyway this year, it's happened to me. I was out last night and had more than a few beers :beer
Although quite jolly , I still had the common sense to know I was slightly over the limit. That's when I did something I've never done before...I took a taxi home.
On the way home there was a police roadblock, but since it was a taxi they waved it past and I arrived home safely without incident. These roadblocks can be anywhere and I realised how sensible/lucky I was to have chosen to take a taxi.
This was a real surprise to me, because I had never driven a taxi before. I don't know where I got it, it's now out the front of the house and I don't know what to do with it. So, anyway, if you want to borrow it or anything, just give me a call....:D:cool:

Good one!

But jokes aside, don't drink and drive. Had some terrible experiences due to people driving drunk.

Drink Driving - Intoximeter Proceedure

When I was a Custody Sergeant I was the operator on my shift for the above mentioned device. The residential training course (3 days including legal stuff) at that time involved course members having various amounts and types of alcohol in the evening and then being breathalysed.

I had people from all walks of life come through the doors often the arsiest to deal with were Company Directors types telling you they would get off the charge at court etc.

One of the most arrogant customers I had through the cell doors was a bloke who gave his occupation as "International Talent Scout" although I did not recognize him and that teed him off when I asked him his name for the booking in procedure.
Turns out he used to play for Derby County one Archie Ge***l. He was disqualified at court for 18 months.

Interestingly very few of those that gave over the limit results were close to the actual limit. The greatest majority were in the 1.5 to 3 times the limit area, usually male and aged over 50. Sadly a couple of blokes had killed people in an accident one on Christmas Eve.
