Got a problem with my truck, she's sitting a couple of inches lower at the N/S. Checked the rear spring and I can see that it is compressed at the N/S compared to the O/S, these were changed about 5 years ago with Milners specials and this was because the back end seemed to be sagging but didn't really resolve it. The spring mountings look intact and pretty much similar at each side. Rear Anti roll bar links look ok too other than a rubber seems split at the O/S.
Had the clutch changed a while ago so checked the front torsion bar's but these are still set to the white mark that the mechanic made.

A while a go I noticed that it seems to wonder around the road, not badly but you can feel something. This only seems to be when road is wet and slippy so put it down to AT's and salt on the road. Nothing felt loose at the front end so I don't think this is related.

Has anyone got any idea's?

Thanks
Jim

Start with the basics as this doesn't seem anything major or serious :thumbs

Make sure all your tyre pressures are the same

On level ground, despite the mechanics marks, measure both sides at the front & make sure there the same ( or as good as )

Check your rear absorbers or compressing & decompressing as 1 might be duff.?

check the spring aint broke.. i lost a full turn on my vectra once

Just been looking at it with Clivvy, moved it around changed parking places used same parking place but facing other way around.
Problem solved it looks as tho I was panicking over nothing. Trouble is wife put the pressure on cos it's "your car" and all the rest and she had noticed last week it looked odd at work blah blah blah.

Think I'm OK but need to keep an eye on it just to be sure. Now I need to change ARB rubbers and an exhaust rubber.

Does anyone know if the front and rear ARB's have the same rubbers or they different?

Jim

yeah it looked ok to me, but i cant comment on what you say about it wandering around the road (could it be limited slip diff causing that??) although it could very easily be what you said, just the wet roads.
