Jim I'll see if I can whip Grandads out later, I havent got any release keys though, what did you use?

Think I used a blacking plate for a pci slot from a pc case. Don’t go to any effort though mate was hoping someone could just lay their hands on a photo they had. Cheers

You don't need anything special to release the radio, just a 6 inch(ish) bit of straight stiff wire, like a wire coat hanger. You push it in the two holes (you can do one at a time), and press, and you will hear a click as the clips push forward and release. You don't have to push it very hard.

You can then just pull the radio out, although the one on Jiggly does take a bit of a wiggle to actually get it to come loose.

Before you put the radio back in, re-set the clips by pushing them back again.

I'm losing my mind, as soon as I jumped in the truck I realised how it came out, if you remember I fixed the display of grandads recently by doing the trick with the heat gun on the ribbon.

Just been out and snapped you some pics Jim :thumb2

Cheers Zac, think I might have this cracked for the aux input. If I get it sorted out Ill post a how to guide.

Not sure when I’ll get chance to play with this but the general idea is that I find the correct terminals on J202. I think that terminals A, B, E and F should be easy to connect to a 3.5mm jack plug. The only complication will be if it needs another connection such as D or L, if so does it pull those to ground or give it a 5v feed. Needs a little playing with and I’ve seen it on YouTube and these connections weren’t needed just the audio connections.

I’ve actually just looked at your photos which actually clearly shows a group of four terminals which are the audio. Then a group of three which are none of the signal cables I thought of. This to me means the audio cables will be enough.

I'm liking the sounds of it!!! I'm going to let you butcher your wires first though

No worries but it might be a while before I get around to it. Mind you is James likely to have a wiring loom you can but her by any chance?
