Door open light

Hi,

Since owning the terrano, it's always had an issue with unlocking the doors via the fob, it will only open the drivers door, all other doors remain locked. Only way to open all the doors is to push the unlock/lock switch forwards then backwards, whilst the drivers door is open. Same method for locking all the doors.

The door open light has never functioned, and no other doors turn on the dome light, when open.

The on and off switch works fine.

Is there a timer switch/relay somewhere?

Hi, the first thing I can think of is try double pressing the unlock button on the key, that would not solve the locking problem though.

Hi,

There is a Timer Control Unit which is involved with both locking and the interior light as the fault is with all the doors I would suggest having a check at that. Are you sure the internal light selector is at "Door" not "off"?:augie

Problems are normally caused by bad ground, before changing the TCU check the ground first.
