Door Lock

Is my 2003 Terrano unique or do all Terrano only have a door lock on the drivers side.god help me if anything goes wrong with that lock.apart from a good hammer I can see no other way to open the car

i think this is correct yes, maybe extra locks were an options or something but ive only ever seen Terranos and Mavericks with a drivers side door lock!!

Mines a 97 Maverick, and yup, only the drivers door has a lock!

Early square headlight ones have passengers lock and tailgate lock.

My 96 T2 has a front passenger door lock, but it only locks and unlocks this door rather like the rear door, drivers door central locks all, Rick

My95 ( 5 door) Mav is the same, it has a door lock on the passenger side too.
Central locking works from a switch contact on the drivers door lock, as there was no solenoid on the lock, as it originally didn't have remote control central locking.

When I fitted an alarm which had remote central locking output, I bought a door locking motor for the drivers door.

I installed it, and it has worked every time faultlessly for over 17 years.:thumbs
