Next steps Adz.

1. Buy K&N induction kit for £55-odd. Have a beer.

2. Fit in half an hour. Have another beer.

3. Stand back and enjoy additional 2-3 mpg (and a little bit more oomph), paying for said item in about ten tankfuls. Have two beers.

4. Get loads of neg feedback about it getting flooded when wading. Have a vodka.

5. Get tape measure out and realise that car would be half full of water and the electrics submerged by the time it got to the filter. Have two more beers.

6. Go and have another beer, laughing all the way.

I did that EIGHT YEARS AGO!! Not been sober since....:doh

I've had bow waves over the bonnet momentarily with no problem, but obviously prolonged exposure wouldn't be great, just as with the standard airbox....but then I was looking tonight while fitting my fanbelt for the third bloody time (!!)...the filter is at the same height as the battery terminals for example (immediate short!).

I think you'd be surprised what you can wade in without going to the trouble of a snorkel....as said before, water inside your truck won't be much fun...:augie
