I am trying to source a new lump for my zexel pumped terrano and been in touch with a guy that is breaking one with regards to the engine.
Obviously my first question was is it a bosch or zexel pumped engine.
I told him to check the MAF,hitachi = zexel,bosch = bosch.
Has sold the maf so can't check that.
I told him to look at the pump and injectors and send me a picture.
Sent me a pic of the injectors with rubber leak offs but says the pump is a zexel.
Now iv'e owned 2 zexel pumped TDI's and both have had the metal leak offs and one bosch pumped TDI with the rubber leak offs.
I'm 100% certain he has a bosch pumped engine but he assures me its a zexel.
i told him to forget it as he doesn't seem to know his arse from his elbow but it got me thinking as to whether they ever did fit the rubber leak offs on the zexel injectors??
