Diff lock pipes

Merry Christmasish.
I'm changing the steel pipes to the rear diff lock and wonder if they are 3/16 or 1/4" or metric equivalent, also what do you guys use to clean the chassis off?
nail gun,sander etc.

I'm a fan of the old wire wheels on the angle grinder because I don't value my eyes or my life :lol
