Hi all,
I have some diesel leaking out of the top of my tank when it is over 75% full. I have checked the filler pipe and vent but they are dry. I took it too my local garage(French) who told me if it continues I will have to get another tank. He says it must be a rust hole.
Could this be coming from a leak in the sender unit seal (or pump seal ), how big a job is this to check and resolve?
tanks

im sure you can get a some thing to sort out that, small rust holes. we've covered it before on here im sure

bet teranosorus will have a product for filling holes in fuel tanks.

if not id be trying auto body pannel adhesive and a ally plate riveted over the hole. use the adhesive as an instant gasket

Tanks for the info.
I have looked at the other messages about similar problems.
Is the tank difficult to remove to do this work.?

And how are you going to make the holes for rivets in a fuel tank.
I certainly would not be drilling into one.
