If you open an account you can save a few bob
This is the account charge from the email I got
A Motorbikes Free
B Cars, Motorhomes. Minibuses with no more than 9 seats £1.67
C 2 axle goods vehicles (including car based vans) and 2 axle
buses with more than 9 seats
£2.63

I think the new charge is £2.50 for type B that is the classification my Reg number got me.
As I cross a few times a year I thought it may be worth registering, I was just hoping to save time, I did not know until I got registered that I would save money.
So what would have cost around £10 will now be £6.68:clap:clap
I hope this info will help other 'suverners' like me, Alex will save a bomb:lol

I have had a Dart Tag account for years now, it has always been cheaper that paying at the toll booth. I just had to remember to make sure the car I was using had one of my 2 tags in it.
I have just changed this over to the Dart Charge scheme, which is easier as you just register all the cars you want onto the one account. You continue to get a reduced cost over just paying as you go each time.
The only down side is you need to pay £10 into the account to open it and then always keep it topped up to stay in credit. If you cross more that a couple of times a year it is worth doing, just for the ease of not having to remember to go and pay when you cross.
