I have a an alpine (or is it kenwood, i cant remember) stereo in my van and it has DAB bu i dont have a DAB aerial, i have seen splitters advertised so you apparently dont have to use a diferent areial, cold anyone offer advice on the best way to start listening to DAB radio with minumum cost and effort? thnaks in advance.

thanks for the link, but after further investigaton it seems i need to buy another gadget from alpine before it will work with DAB as it is DAB ready rather than just plug the aerial in an off it goes.

I am too mean to buy an extra 'unit' so i will stick with FM and Cd's cheers

like HD Ready TV I suppose...just means it can receive an HD signal but won't display in HD....has to be 1080 definition for that.

They always get us!

well my tv had HD and hdmi wrote o the front but i have never looked any further and now i dont think im goin gto bother :nenau

I will stick with my freview for the TV, and FM radio along with my dodgey MP3 cds in the van.

Its a shame its such a chew on because listening to our dab radio at home it is good quality stuff.

I remember a conversation with a highways officer a year or so ago when they were explaining how quality traffic info for the whole network would be broadcast (not the sort of thing you listen to al of the time of course!!!).

Big problem though for the average motorist.................it was going out on a dab channel :doh:doh:doh:doh:doh

(we laughed cynically :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol)

its ironic that you can spend £30 on a radio for your kitchen and get the latest traffice reports when you would have to spend £100's to get them when you are driving

maybe one day when i get round to instaling it in the van i can drive around listening to non stop DIY and Cookery shows :lol:lol
