D21 Paris dakar one of 300?

Hi all, just bought this D21, apparently a rare beast as it's one of 300 homologation support vehicles for the Paris dakar/camel trophy rallies, it has a 4 pot 2.9 as apposed to the 2.4 and many changes to the ventilation and air induction, or so i am told, old Nissans seem to have limited historical reference's. what do you think? £2450 for a unusual machine to make a new demountable camper for?.
