Opinion arrival typically it was raining... Needless to say we were both not up for it... After the rain eased off a bit we had already decided against the body lift for time and went for some cutting n wheels instead :thumb2

Arches off with a bit of cutting done. Notice the front of the sill has been removed.

Metal inner arches, cut grooves into it and hammered it back as opposed to cut right off. Apparently cutting it right off can cause massive issues and even make the wings effectively peel.. :doh

For all of you non believers out there, I have a pretty clean terrano as it goes but bloody hell were the insides of the arches caked in mud!!! My suggestion is remove them and clean them!! rust will be forming!!

This was most of the mud out!!!

A great day all in all, was nice to meet Adz! And if it wasn't for his quick thinking id have been going home empty handed as the wheels I bought have a very narrow entrance for the wheel nuts :doh

The standard terrano wheel nuts were a million times too chunky to get in so we have to go to a motor factors and get a load of em :D

And for good measure as my exhaust was knackered and leaking anyway we did away with it :augie

For anyone thinking about doing the exhaust removal at the gearbox all I can say is DO IT!! :sly:sly:sly

It's not particularly noisy, I was expecting it to sound like a passing plane but it's actually quite tame on tick over and higher revs, it's peak grunt seems to be at 1300/1800 :thumbs

Quieter than a motorcycle exhaust if you ever wondered. Defo worth a go oh and fumes are not a problem as I thought.

I wish i could afford to pay someone to do the work on my trucks.Lol....

Starting to take shape now mate:thumb2
The wheels and tyres look spot on.
Still not made my mind up about the bumpers yet.:thumb2

looking real good! I took the liberty of lighting up the photo a bit because it was too dark for me, hope you don't mind?:

Good call Clivvy.

Alex mate I really think you need some advice about that bumper legality and defo make sure your insurance company fully understand what it is and in writing to cover yourself. I'm don't care what you do asiit's your car as I've said before but cover your back mate.
