Nice find mate I enjoyed that :thumb2 I like that they keep the drivetrain so you can drive it like a normal car. 175 miles would be more than enough for the type of driving i usually do, would be apprehensive about going to coast or Wales etc., how about you?

Me too. Charge it up as many times as needed. Could take a while though :lol

Reminds me of the very first Top Gear programmes before they got stupid with Gobby in charge. Great presentation. I enjoyed that, thanks Ian.:thumb2

There's a vid on the Porsche too. Haven't looked to see how many vids they've done.

Ill thought out technology, so great it takes the air pollution from the roads and stuffs it in concentrated areas where we produce the power, and currently we could not produce enough of it anyway, wind power is a total waste of time, if we do not get on and build some decent nuclear power stations pretty damn quick you will all be seeing power cuts, (does not bother me I am self sufficient) but with the prats that are in control at the moment it aint going to happen, but if we continue the way we are with the state of the roads, forget the car we will all need tractors to be able to go anywhere, rant over, Rick

As usual Rick is a 100% correct.

Great idea but I’ve seen a lot of videos of classic cars converted to electric. It almost seems criminal destroying the integrity of a classic vehicle.

I like to think of my oil burning truck driving past the rusted carcasses of electric vehicles sometime in the future. Maybe I have too much time on my hands. :D

Totally agree with the sentiments stated previously......all this electric car nonsense is just shuffling the problem to where they hope folks won't look too far.......we simply haven't and will not have the generation capacity for them.

It's the usual suspects (the motorists) that get flogged once again.....not the large commercial diesels, plane pollution and marine diesel pollution concerns.....we are of course an easy target.......:doh

Buy a bike!
Hybrid cars are only good for the benefit in kind reduction.

Hiya mate, can't view the first link, but that tyre one is my point, get bigger tyres :hide:

Tyres are great, fast as...
I was told by a mate, who does downhill, that we road cyclists call the downhillers crazy. His response was that they do it with fat tyres, suspension, full body armour and full face helmets. Road cyclists hit speeds of 70km/h+ in lycra and a peepot helmet on 23mm tyres going downhill. So now who's crazy? :)

Nope, think its my tablet being awkward :doh

I am a big supporter of the freedom for people to be able to hurt themselves doing various activities, which is why you will never hear me moaning about the people who climb Everest or do the IOM TT, but like the downhill racers you mentioned those people go prepared accordingly, those skinny tyres are not fit for use on a UK road, getvsone proper tyres then do daft stuff :thumb2

I hope 'safety lycra' was worn:doh

Had to laugh at that......Wednesday afternoon in France was the time that the local road cyclists massed together in far too much tight lycra, and blocked the roads 4 abreast, 8 deep sometimes, as their peleton sped through the countryside........:doh
