Went out this morning & noticed a wet patch under the truck:doh opened the bonnet & noticed what looked like water spray on the N/S of the fan cowling, then noticed the hose from the thermostat to bottom of the rad soaking wet:( dried it all off well & couldn't see any marks etc on the hose but I think water was been running down it. Managed to get a few turns on the hose clip & it wasn't as tight as it should have been in my eyes:augie so tightened every hose clip up:augie
I'm thinking water might have been seeping past the hose clip & running down the hose but wondered if anyone had any other ideas on where the leak could be coming from:nenau My last T2 used to get a leak every winter & i'm sure it was due to parts cooling down & shrinking at different rates at very low temps fixed it by adding rad weld:lol

I've just had same problem my thermostat housing was cracked! You could see hairline cracks inside it. Got another one metal this time and sorted!

Thermostat housing looks fine & it was bone dry down the front of the engine & checked the water pump as I know to well they can leak but all seamed good:thumb2 been out tonight & the engine was up to running temp & the hose is so far nice & dry apart from the very bottom where it pushes onto the rad but couldn't get to dry that bit very well so is still a little damp:doh will have another look tomorrow to see if there are any more damp patches or if the coolant level has dropped any:augie

The only sign of mine leaking was the rear bolt on housing was a little damp. But because engine is hotwhen up to temp it was drying befor you could see it so took housing off and hairline cracks around bolt holes

I have a mysterious leak at the top atm, green everywhere

Leaking slowly though atleast :clap

Checked it when the engine was cold:thumbs know the temps got down to 0 to -2'c here the last couple of nights so first thought is the metal has contracted more & with the hose clip not being super tight it has seeped out:augie warm night tonight at 5'c
