Does any1 know when the big comet sale starts sad bout all those people losing jobs but if there a sale on might as well c if I can get a bargain:thumb2

doubtful, comet havent actually paid for the majority of their stock, so manufacturers are taking it back. Big companies like this rely on credit, and as happens a lot, Comet havent paid for their stuff.

i heard they had no credit had to pay for thing up front thats y they r in the possion they in now went out for the day to day as its my bday and in plymouth they r putting up black and white printed a4 posters saying sale items can not be returned but no sales posters but think might kick off either 2morrow or wensday

guess I was lucky, last Monday wifey paid over £300 cash for a new built in gas oven to be delivered Saturday around midday, Friday we learnt of their difficulties, Sat about 11am had phone call to say it will not be available till Monday or even Wednesday, went straight to the shop and told them in no uncertain terms that I want a refund as they have broken the contract, was told by the manager that they have been instructed by head office that refunds are not available, so I said, pointing to a laptop I had already looked at "then I will be leaving with that after I give you the extra £20 difference" big discussions amongst staff but I was not leaving, end result I have a nice new laptop with windows 8, Rick
