Collected my new Terrano this afternoon in a blizzard, had a great drive home in 4wd, even got up our bank and outside the front door, something i havn't done in 6 days with the vectra!!!!:D:D
The Terrano came with 13 mth mot done at an independent testing station, but had an advisory notice that a power steering componant had very slight seepage?:nenau Apparantly the tester told the salesman it could be from filling up during the service which the selling garage did.
The salesman has told me to keep an eye on it, and if need be take it back and they will put it back through the workshop, apart from checking the level regularly, anything else i should look for? Or should i take it back and get them to investigate? Could it be overspill from topping up? ( not sure where slight seepage was)
Apart from that loving being back in a TERRANO:thumbs

um and why are you indoors, and not out playing in the snow then??

Don't want to get it too dirty on the 1st day:clap:cool::cool::lol

dont know where all those smiles came from!?:nenau

Happy new motor.
To check if there is a leak, get some spray engine cleaner and rinse off and dry, then monitor it.
Sometimes the hoses just need a slight tighten if they are the jubilee type.
The garage sounds a good one though.
Best regards, Rustic

my mum nearly killed me once for putting engine parts into the dishwasher...

Deffo got a leak, drips of red fluid in the snow outside the house( snows good for something) Cant see any drips along the street only where its parked up:nenau
Phoned the garage today terrano going back in on monday to get sorted, Salesman says he has a couple of 4x4's that have tax on so i can use 1 of those while mine is in getting fixed:thumb2
Wonder if that Porshe cayenne is taxed:rolleyes:
I know i know not a proper 4x4 before you all start:thumbs:lol:lol

Porsche?????.........lol..... reminded me, nearly got taken out this morning by a VERY blinged up BMX X5 with blingy wheels and low profile slicks going very sideways on the ice towards me and looking terrified !!!! Just pulled over on the pavement (cos I can ;););)) I know I am a 'towny' down here in the south but just 'cos it is a flashy 4x4 dont mean it is any good on the slippy stuff with an idiot behind the wheel..... obviously thought as it was 4x4 he was invincible :doh:doh:doh:doh

Good luck

All the best with the motor TinTin is it a 3 or a 2.7 Mine had a leak on power steering it was under the rad where the power pipes go they have a little clamp round them Thats where the trouble was Easy fix though
