What is needed to change the rear coilover spring?
Found some stories on the internet that people only needed to disconnect the shock absorbers and that lowering the axle when done gave enough movement to change them.

Yes I have put LWB springs on a SWB this way, no problem at all, Rick

I concur with Rick, very easy to do :thumb2

Get yourself a decent trolley jack, disconnect the rear shocks, jack away.

If you are really struggling, you can make life easier by using a set of spring compressors. I brought a set from Halfords a few years ago, laser brand and they work well, just watch they don't slip as great forces at play!!!

That is what I was hoping to hear! :)
Got myself a set of LWB rear springs to give it a little bit of lift.

Only doubt I'm having is to get a set of spring compressors or not. Probably gonna use it only 1 time.

Hi Ferdi
I thought the same thing for my Patrol springs.
I even thought of borrowing one as it wouldn't get used again any time soon.
You'll get enough axle drop to pop your new ones in as Rick said.
You won't need a compression tool.:thumb2

I've had my set for a few years now and only used twice

Thanks for the tip! :)
Plan is to change the springs on wednesday, so jeep you guys posted then.

It wasn't that bad to do :)
The tip with the bottle jack was te winner! Cleared enough space to easily change the springs
