Hi I am guessing you have the petrol engine, if so 31 =ECU fault, just found more info, it applies to the 2.7 as well, Rick

Check your earths, if you have the 2.7 and getting that code it could be the earth strap behind the plastic trim panel that hides the cable for the bonnet release in the passengers footwell.

It could just be a weird historic code too so just clear it and drive, if it comes back then you know you have the problem still :thumb2
