All,
Is there a auto adjust or anything on the clutch Cables
I came home last night all fine.
Went out this morning and very hard to get into gear.
Goes in very easy if engine not running.
Goes in ok when driving.
Just seems to have dropped very low on the pedal all of a sudden.

If i pump the pedal a few times when stood it will go into gear

Oh and it was stood for about a hour last night with the engine running. if that is anything to do with it.

clutch

its a hydrualic clutch so there isn't any cable to adjust.could be a fluid leak on the circuit somewhere.if you have a pdf manual it gives you a description of how the curcuit works in the section on the clutch.
if you do a search for manual on this site there is a link to one for the t2.

Well I just went to Mr clutch and they say it is the clutch starting to go.

Quoted me £530 all in
that is a Dealer clutch as they there suppliers dont do a aftermarket one for the 3.0ltr

£335 labour
How does this stand up to what anyone else has seen please or are they expensive?

Cheapest we have been quoted round here is £499 + vat & thats with a after market clutch, so your price me thinks isn't bad at all.

Paul.

Don't know if it helps but I got quoted £160 inc VAT for a full clutch kit from Nissan for a 2.7TDI did'nt ask about fitting it

clutch

if the clutch is on its way out the bite point will be higher up the pedal.i would get a second opinion before i part with a wad of cash.just done mine as it was very high on the pedal and slipping at high revs.might have to do it all again as its developed a grinding noise on the release bearing  cant wait....not.
does the pedal creep down when stood over night?
if so i would say it was a hydraulic leak.

clutch

it took me 2 days in all.did it 2 weeks ago over the weekend.its all the work you have to do to get the gearbox out.spent the best part of one day getting everything out of the way so i could remove the box.you will need a hand on the gearbox removal part as you have to twist it to get the starter motor housing to clear the bulkhead.not the easiest of clutches ive done but if you take your time its not that bad.
