Hi all a strange question but why does the clutch vent pipe go down to the back of the car with the fuel pipes? Mine is completely corroded like the fuel lines! Did the fuel lines today but was wandering if the clutch vent needed to be all that way any help would be great thanks gaz

if you are referring to the balance pipe from the clutch slave cylinder then it is a useless lump of rubbish, do away with it, it does absolutely nothing other than leak, Rick

It's not a vent pipe, it's a Damper, designed to absorb clutch judder. This though does not seem to be a problem on the Terrano's. A lot of people blank off the hole on the spitter box, and completely disconnect that whole length of pipe with out any negative effects.
