Just had a look at the clutch master cylinder seems to be weeping a bit.
from the piston.
what are they like to change, Looks like bolted on bulkhead and just split pin holding a pin top of pedal.
then it should come off. Is it so easy or have i missed some thing?
pipes back on then bleed up.

Thing is i am planning a trip to Spain with the caravan do i change it, or take a spare with me just it case it goies?
need to top up every two months.
Laurie. ps mine is a 2.7 td on a 94 plate

I could be wrong, but id say the physical changing of the cylinder is easy. the two bolts you see holding the cylinder in, are the two bolts holding the clutch pedal in place. So, You remove the split pin from the pedal and push out the wotsit, this releases the clutch fork, then undo the two bolts from inside the engine bay-bit awkward if you don't have the right spanner, and disconnect pipes.

Never had to do it myself, but as I say, looks an easy enough job...

Yes that what it looked like to me.:thumbs Laurie

Yes it is easy, I took mine out when I was doing the clutch peddle bearings, as I wanted to check it was not leaking any fluid up that end. The only thing I did not take off, was the actual pipe.

I would do it sooner rather than later, as brake/clutch fluid eats the paint work.

Yes might have a bash at it after the weekend:thumbs
