hi the mav seems to have a bit of clutch drag, by that i mean the clutch feels a bit still engaged... causing loss of acceleration

like slipping on ice, only its not on ice

once or twice the pedal failed to return fully, but most of the time this seems to be fully up when it drags

my thought is worn cable or frozen cable due to it happens most when car is cold and only started when the freezing weather started

it does go through water a lot so the cable could have moisture between inner and outer... thats if it has a cable

any ideas anyone

It deff not the clutch cable as it don't have one as it's a hydrolic system, so yo may have a leak some where poss master or slave cylinder

Mine was a bit iffy last week too, I started a thread too if you have a look. It would seem there is a little bit of adjust between the pedal and the master cyclinder but I aint looked yet. Also the pedal bracket comes loose where it's welded I think, this I've heard of before and first reported by Shark1e if memory serves me. I also seem to remember Tubbs having trouble with his slave Cylinder and a pipe. Sorry can't give you any idea of where to find the slave cylinder as I aint looked yet because it's far too cold out there.

slave cylinder is to the right of the brake fluid bottle.

i have looked at my fluids today and all full as normal so no leeks at all

ok read your previous question... i would have thought a dead clutch would not engage ,as apposed to drag the clutch feels normal as does the pedal i have no fluid loss
bare in mind i live in the coldest inhabited place on record in wales so its bloody cold here and open to the elements and this has only happened since the freeze

could the clutch fluid need changing i remember watching deals on wheels once where that fixed a clutch problem

could it be old, too thin and freezing
