right the plastic surround that goes under the steering wheel, i can only get it partially off because of the chock, does anyone know how to remove the chock (situated above fuse box) so i can get the plastic panel off?

the wee handle thing that you pull out to keep the revs up

I see, the CHOKE, sorry just me being thick. On a T2 TD it is actually a 'hand throttle'

There isn't one on a TDI though the molding for it is still there, and sorry I don't know how to remove it :nenau

Got one on my TD, it's held by a single screw that goes up from just to the left of the "chock" - you have to look from underneath, and need a phillips screwdriver to remove it :)

To remove the hand throttle pull handle simply turn it to the left then pull off, :D simples!

aww, cheers guys will make my life so much easier & sorry plank for the bad spelling can't manage that today lol

If you're just removing the lower plastic trim panel you only need to undo the screw to the left of the throttle knob, it will then come away with the panel and hang by its cable.

What are you doing with your pedal (brake I take it)

replacing the bush & spring so the clutch pedal returns properly, pick up parts tomorrow for it :thumb2

Ah, let us know how it goes please, I may need to do this, seems like a common fault, they should have done a recall, Honda would have:confused::confused:

Well, they never recalled the jazz gearbox, ours sounds like a bag of nails and Honda don't want anything to do with it.
