nice! I've let my Nieces chap know as he is looking for one. Even if it is worse case fuel pump, still not THAT bad...?

£750 bit steep still, Mine cost me that and it was running fine etc

I did bid on it blind though!

it has a Bosch pump and has had a new MAF, so a little more deep seated, far too dear for me, Rick

If anyone is seriously interested he has offers it to me for £500 but I am not interested on two counts one it is SWB and two it is way up north, so if anyone wants it best I can do is put a word in, Rick

There we go Clivvy, Ricks the word

and not far from you clivvy, mail him and tell him I am on the forum and have passed it on, I have explained to him the problems he has but not mentioned the mini filter which I reckon is probably the fault, to be honest I would offer £400, cos he will not get £750 but it looks to have good front wings which is a plus, Rick

Where's my finders fee? :augie

OK so whos made an offer on it:lol

Me neither!!! I knew it wouldn't be around long, that's a nice colour and I know that it's going to be straight underneath too as some of the pics with the chassis showing look solid!!!

Dunno!! I'm not a great risk taker right now, I'm thinking about it. What will be, will be!

Its ok Clivvy, youll be sitting in the drivers seat whilst I tow it home anyhoo:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

Retracted the offer, sills are "rusty" and not mot. Reckon itll cost a lot to get through the test.

shame - its this sort of honesty I wish people would be a bit more free with. Had his listing said that, he'd have not wasted anyone's time, or his own. Clearly its a scrap car now, because the worst case scenario of new pump, new sills, new fuel pipes, new brake pipes (im adding these because they go hand in hand with rotten sills as far as I am concerned) and anything else it needs will be way over its market value.

if he have asked for £200 ish, id have put in the effort.
