Ok, this is rather epic even if I do say so
So you need a pair of land rover 90/ disco 1 rear dislocation cones. You cut them down to 85mm in diameter and the larger retaining plate u cut a cross in it so it fits over the cone to provide a nice big platform for our spring and the rubber to sit on, see these pics :
Then put it back together like this :
The tabs that protrude from top of cone will locate the dislocation cone onto the stock mounting cup, so u get the depth of this plus the 15 mm of the cone as lift. This equated to over 40mm on mine. The spring and cup is in no danger of falling out as its under compression and u have to unbolt the shocks/panhard rod and drop axle 3" past full extension and then u still have to compress the spring to remove it.
Also u could make another shim say 12 mm or whatever to lift even further by adding it in between the cone and plate if u fancied
Just got to adjust the torsion bar tommorow. Here's a pic of the back as it is, it was 885mm to road from rear arch, now it's 930mm
