any tips on doing this:nenau
can see it from under the truck but how do you get to it?

climb under

warm the oil in the engine before removing it by giving it a run up the road.

You should be able to get under the car without jacking it, but I prefer to run my one up on some large wooden blocks, that makes it a bit more easy to do.
You will have fun doing the oil filter though, these are not the easiest filters to change on the 2.7. 3.0 is much nicer to do, best to remove the air filter box 1st, but they're still a pig to do

I think he wants to change the oil pressure switch, I have not found it on mine, there is a switch near the oil filter but it is not connected but my oil light works,? just had no reason to get under and look but now it is covered in Slindon Mud so no chance at the mo, Rick

On the 2.7 td, the oil pressure switch is on the nearside of the engine block.

I changed mine a few years ago because it was leaking oil out of the end.:nenau

Very easy to get to from the top without moving anything.

dont really want to change it but i have got to as its leaking oil.
its on the o/s of the engine tucked away under the inlet manifold.
was gonna take off the inlet manifold at the weekend to give it a clean and fit a new gasket so i will do the oil pressure switch then as it should be more accessible(i hope).
