'ello again!

ok, I have seen the download for changing the fuel filter BUT I just wanted to check a couple of things before I steam roll ahead and make a mess. I understand that I need a container to hold approx 2 litres of fuel when I remove the filter BUT, where can I expect the fuel to start leaking from first? I dont want this situation where I undo the first bolt and fuel starts leaking everywhere!!

Any practical tips and advice would be MOST appreciated as this will be the first fuel filter I have ever changed, but I really want to do it.

Thanks in Advance

The fuel will start leaking out once you start undoing the filter as in step 4 page 5 of the download.

So you need to place the container in a handy place.

If you are careful and keep the filter upright you should only have a small amount come out.

The container is mainly for holding the fuel that you tip out of the old filter.

If you want your hands to stay clean wear some disposable gloves save having diesel all over them ;)

If you can, give the filter a turn to crack the seal while still mounted then close again. This will make it easier to undo later on.
