cd facia

hi,
Ive just put my trusty favorite car cd player with mp3 import on ebay for next to nowt.
but before it goes.
the only reason im selling it is because Ive just been looking on ebay for a relacement facia to fit my old head unit in my new motor.
£140 flippin quid! because of the hazard switch etc.
I like the fact weve got a multi changer under the seat. but who plays tapes now? all my musics on mp3.
is there a cheaper way to change the head without spending 140 notes on a bit of plastic with out making it look botched up?
Id also like to keep the changer in there.
maybe ill just go back to old fashioned cds lol

For about a fiver I got a gadget the plugged into the lighter socket and plays MP3 it has a FM output you can tune your radio to, it takes a SD card

If you're good at DIY, you can make facia panels up from. MDF for fitting a standard single din radio in, will need an adaptor wiring kit too, also A switch for replacing the hazard button in the radio, I think people used the hazard switch from the earlier terrano and mounted it in the dash

Could be wrong be I just remember somthing about it on here.

thats a cool looking gadget.im a bit sceptical of the sound quality. but might try it for the price

Im pretty good at diy.(I built myself a motorhome) but im not sure i want to make a facia panel. dunno yet. but i do know im not paying 115 quid for a bit of plastic.

I've just used one of these devices in another car and works really well, it plugs in to the Multiplayer input of the original radio. I tried 2 FM Transmitters and both were poor, the FM band is so crowded that you get interference all the time but they are a cheap alternative and usually need no wiring.

Try contacting the ebay seller in this link and see if he does a version for the Terrano?

try nissan i bought just the facia from them for £48 then buy either new hazard switch or look in a scrap yard:lol

Try tuneing them at the top of the wave band, like 108MHz. Then you've got a fighting chance:thumb2

Alas unfortunately someone with just a little experience of RF was unable to resolve the interference.
