Where are people mounting their CB's in 2001 onwards Terrano's ? & pic's would be great:thumbs

Does the 2001 still have the cubby hole in front of the gear levers like the early models?

have had mine in cubby between seats, as its a mini sized set, midland 98.

have also tried it loose in front of gear sticks, on that sticky rubber material
and it didnt move at all.

But neither is good for sound or seeing display. Suspect may at some point
velcro it to top of middle dash.

didnt someone make a custom bracket for above/to side of rear view mirror.

The cubby hole in front of the gear sticks was my first plan but thats where I want my 2 extra gauges:doh have thought about velcroing it to the top of the dash as i've got an extension. The other option is to build a roof console to mount the CB in

Gauges are way too low down there in my opinion. I'd rather have a two gauge pod high up or on the A post.
If you're fixed on the low level gauge position then I'd go for the roof mount option .
Velcro is not a good idea either. The time you're likely to be using the CB is exactly when velcro may not be man enough. Offroading = bolt it down :thumb2

mine is bolted to the floor under my seat where the multichanger used to be.electrics already there.
im a bit worried it might get flooded throught deep water though:nenau.
I got the venus cb with all the controls on the handset.

I guess floor and water are quite likely if you do more offroading mate :sly
You can lift it off the floor (still under seat) by mounting it on the underside of the seat frame :thumbs

Forgot the pics , sorry Zippy :lol

Combines the CB and extra gauges :D
My power amp is under the seat but off the floor and so away from the first 60/70mm of water anyway :sly

Makeitfit I had my gauges high up in my MK2 & the CB in the cubby hole

Oh BTW makeitfit having your amp upside down is a very bad idea as it'll over heat due to the heat sink being at the bottom:augie

mine is just stuck with velco to the top of the dash, but it is only put there when off roading.
What are the additional gauges? I want some !!!!

Velcro and off road do not mix :doh
Bolt it down or you might get a face full one day

Bugger  I didn't think of that :doh
Right o I'll modify the brackets and turn it over again, cheers for that :thumb2

I run a volt meter which I find handy as you can keep an eye on the alternater charging (had them under or over charge before) & also if you have a cell or 2 dieing on the battery as the voltage starts to become lower over night. The second one is a turbo boost gauge again find it good to keep an eye on what the turbo is pushing out. Got both to fit in the new T2 but here's a pic of what my MK2 looked like at night

Still got everything so it'll all be going in the new motor in time:D

Oh Makeitfit wise man turning the amp the other way up as you'll save the amp from melt down & if you turn the stereo right up you might now get a heated seat

I want a roof console near the map lights, anyone got a pic of one or willing to make me one?

Had my CB there in my old T2 like a lot of people but the the later dashes are different once I move my gauges from this location I will see if my CB will go in without getting in the way of the transfer box lever if not prob coing to have to make up a roof console:augie
