Cat converter wanted

As above for a '93 petrol Maverick, new prefered but test time approaches so a good used one would be of interest.

Failing that can you recommend a UK supplier?

I was not aware the 2.4i had a CAT but maybe my memory has gone last one I had was a 98, I still have a front pipe in the workshop will have a look at it later, Rick

Just checked the front pipe, only has a flexi on it no CAT, was yours an original Spanish motor, perhaps the rules were different for Spain, Rick

On Ebay mr-seller has them for £65.71 but you would need to check with him if he will send to Spain, Rick

But how much will it cost to post one from over here? And if it has to be sent back for whatever reason? There are probably cheaper options as I only did a quick Google. Living in Spain, i'd buy from Spain.

Fair point Don, first search for a parcel of that sort of size and about 5kg suggests about £17 signed for, as for return, well can only say chat on the phone first to establish the criteria, it still comes out at less than half the Spanish price, Rick

Thanks for your help fellas, I was quoted 600E for a Spanish one and 200GBP plus postage for a Brit one, all plus fitting.

After waiting 3 weeks I was told they are no longer available in the UK. Time to find another garage I think.

It's a UK model imported to Spain about 12 years ago and owned by me since. I'm keen to get it fixed as it's rust free and otherwise sound.

I'll keep you all posted when it's fixed.
