I won't bore you with too much of a long story, but we have returned from Cheddar, we managed to set up our tent in the dry (after a very wet drive) then the rain continued, of course we did make a man fire

Ours was the only one that outlasted the storm

The mrs niece stupidly forgot wellies and only had furry type UG boots :lol

This led us to improvise on drying them...

And of of course I got loads of scenic pics with the Terrano without being too naughty :augie

Pics below and link to the 100+ pic album

Looks a lovely place Alex.
Couldn't find the link though [emoji52]

Hi Alex looks like you enjoyed, you got to have fires on camp sites.
That looks like one of those washing machine drum fire pits good bit of recycling.

Yeah it's a cracking idea, and the edges are covered from the rain a tad too!!

Did need a bit of kerosine in the morning to get her going as we ran out of kindling :augie

Great Pics did you visit the George Caves too - I went there sometime around 1959 and still remember the Stalamites & Stalagtites from my childhood visit.

Nice! Going off on a camping/fishing trip with the T2 in 2 weeks as well.

Alex, the more I see it, the more I like your Terrano :)

Looks like fun. No such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothes.

Rather than lugging a washing machine drum around, you need the fire pit that I'm designing at the moment. ;)

Aw man. Alex, you kept me up too late last night making me look through your photo album! [emoji42]

When the alarm went off this morning at half 5, I could have cried.
Quality photos though and you've done more than anyone else on here, to your truck, and you're using it daily...
Respect brother [emoji106]

Looks like you had a good weekend.....in spite of the weather, well done mate.
Great bunch of piccies.......I think you've just got to go for it and s#d the weather, otherwise you would never go out in UK........:thumb2

Stalactite are the ones that come down ( because tights come down).
Stalagmite are the ones that rise up.

I haven't been camping for a few years but swmbo is on about going somewhere this year in a tent.
I used to go off with a crowd of like minded driving at a pay & play site, camp the night then we would green lane the next day had some brilliant weekends.
