I changed the front beak pads this morning, but the top sliders had seized solid on both sides due to a split in the rubbers. I managed to free one to some extent but the other I was unable to move.
I am going to order new sets of rubbers and seals, but what is the best way to free the pins. I spent hours spraying with release fluid and trying to turn them with very little success! and were is the best place get new sliders?

Heat and patience plus lots fluid, once you get them moving, golden rule turn in opposite directions for the free part once it stops in one direction do not force but go back the opposite way keep working it like this back and forth, heat , spray, work, heat, spray, till it comes out, the alternative is to shear it then drill it out, after which you will need a new one, I get mine from, I think? "breakpartsonline" but will have to find an invoice to be sure, Rick

I have found the slides on beak parts superstore, but there are three sizes
60mm, 62mm, & 70mm how do I check to make sure I order the correct length, or do I have to get the old ones out first :nenau

you have to get the old ones out first, but if in doubt order to longest and just cut them down, some also say different diameters but I have only ever seen one, Rick
