buying advice

Hi all i,ve just joined today have always had land rovers but fed up with the rot and other probs.so after looking at other 4x4 the nissan terrano had good reviews,can anyone give me advice on what to look for when buying a 1999-2001 terrano 2 2.7 td,looking to spend £1,800 to £2500 and lwb model.

Over 2k could get you a 2004 ish

Just look for rot on sills, under boot floor, under seats.

Then just the usual wear and tear, crash damage, engine noise, smoke etc

Gearbox rattle on idle

Although mine rattles its bag off on idle, but disapeers when clutch is pressed and whilst moving, no wines and still very smooth after 150k

Yup mine also rattles like a bag of spanners until i press the clutch.
