Butterfly

I have removed the egr and blanked the ports off now I hear about a butterfly in the inlet manifold.is this doing anything now if not where is it and is it easy to remove

On the left as you look under the Bonnet, below the intercooler

4 bolts hold it on to the inlet manifold

I took the throttle body off, removed the flap and spindle, cleaned it all up and filled the holes with 'plastic padding chemical metal' then reseated the thing with a smear of copperr rtv

Not too bad a job to do then if there is just 4 bolts might have a look later cheers
